Blu Label lands electricity trading licence from Nersa

BluEnergy Trading, a subsidiary of Blu Label Unlimited Group, received a multi-year energy trading licence from South Africa's energy regulator Nersa. The licence enables the company to buy and sell electricity, leveraging its existing prepaid electricity vending infrastructure across 95+ municipalities.

Blu Label aims to connect municipalities with independent power producers using its fintech capabilities and prepaid revenue collection systems, positioning itself to capitalize on South Africa's power sector reforms that allow private participation in electricity generation and trading.
